Activities

The Canada-Japan Society of Ottawa sponsors a wide range of interesting activities each year. These activities are varied to ensure there is something of interest for everyone. Some of the events are:

CJSO Annual Gala Dinner                                                                                                                        Each year our members and the public are invited to partake of an excellent Japanese dinner. This increasingly popular gala dinner event usually includes a guest speaker, a musical performance, and some interesting door prizes.

Happy Hour
On the third Wednesday of every month, members meet after work for refreshments, an interesting presentation and good conversation. The location moves among the city's Japanese restaurants.

Boat Cruise
In early September, CJSO members usually attend a combined cruise on the Ottawa River and a Japanese "obento" dinner.

Lectures
CJSO organizes lectures where knowledgeable speakers discuss a variety of Canada-Japan topics.

And , in addition, CJSO organizes specialty events such as leaf viewing in the autumn, a Christmas Party, a film series, etc.
